On Friday February 19th, the TBSG had a small Wine and Cheese party. We sampled 12 different kinds of cheese and several kinds of wine.
What I learned was that Paneer is tastes like raw tofu. Edam is very good. Blueberry Cheddar cheese tastes like a blueberry bagel with cream cheese. Havarti and goat cheese are still amazing. And that in general, cheese is just great. Below are a few pictures from the night.

This article captures some of the diversity of the cuisine in Minneapolis and St. Paul. We have tried some of these restaurants but there are a few we could add to the list for future support group meetings!

Saturday Night Adventure
Although we all love to travel, I think it's important to explore the city/area/state you live in as well to find the neighborhood gems. On Saturday night, Leah and I were going to go to a movie in St Paul at the science museum. This is how the night was supposed to go.
5:15 - Leave Mpls
6:00 - Movie at the Science Museum
7:30 - Dinner
This is how the night went:
5:20 - Leave mpls
5:45 - Get to the Science Museum, find out that not only did the movie sell out, but on the weekends they tend to sell out an hour or two before hand.
6:15 - Finally get out of the ramp after going down and down and down. Get $12 parking fee back since show was sold out.
6:16 - Decide to see what's playing at the theater on Grand. Realize there is no interest in either movie. Realize that if we don't get gas we will not make it back to Mpls.
6:20 - Try to get gas, gas station full.
6:25 - Find another gas station where the gas pumps at half the rate it should
6:30 - Decide to head back to mpls and check out a movie at the Lagoon.
6:45 - Leah brings up the Brave New Workshop, decide to call them to see what's playing. Spend about 5 minutes while the guy on the phone figures out what the tax is on the $19 ticket (which by the way...was not something we asked him to do).
6:50 - Head over to the BNW...spend another five minutes trying to find parking. End up parking about a block away from where we started the night when Leah picked me up.
7:00 - Hilarious show at the BNW, where we could not sit together, but did get to sit close.
9:00 - Dinner at Green Mill, where you get 25% off when you show your show ticket...or in our case...realize when you're ready to leave you forgot to show your show ticket and did not get a discount.
10:30 - Head home!
Moral of the story is that even though the night was a comedy of errors leading up to the show, it turned out fantastic because the BNW is great, the show was funny, dinner was great, the conversation was great and we ended up driving across the metro to see a show that was in our own neighborhood! I would recommend the BNW to anyone who wants to laugh. Check out the show there now: How to Make Love Like a Minnesotan III- The Full Montevideo. It officially starts on Feb 12th.
